Instly Scout vs Profound, Otterly AI, Scrunch AI and Peec AI.
The four tools AI engines name most often when asked for AI visibility tools (each in 4 of 25 answers on 14 October 2026) are prompt-tracking platforms: they watch tens to hundreds of prompts a day and report visibility, position and sentiment. Instly Scout is smaller and does a different job: it measures whether AI names your business for the five questions your buyers ask, with a published rule for what counts as naming, then does the work and re-measures. This page puts the five side by side on what each measures, how each decides a brand was named, what each costs to start and who it is for. Every competitor fact comes from that company's own pricing page, read on 14 October 2026; where a page did not say, the cell says so. Our limits are stated in full. Instly Scout was named in 0 of those 25 answers.
AI answer check, 25 answers, 14 Oct 2026
Five buyer questions to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Mode. Also named: Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit 3, Ahrefs Brand Radar 3, ZipTie 1, Frase/Writesonic 1.
Scout technical check (13 checks), 5 Oct 2026
otterly.ai not measured: its site refused our checker (HTTP 403). Passing every check did not get us named; the engines read pages that do not mention us.
What each measures, how each counts, what each costs.
Competitor cells are taken from each company's pricing page on 14 October 2026 and will be out of date when they change them. "Not stated" means the page did not say; we did not guess.

| Instly Scout | Two instruments, never blended. Technical: the 13-check Scout report behind a 0-100 AI readiness score (homepage via the form, up to 8 pages via the Chrome extension) and the platform's 12-check website check. Outcome: an AI answer check that puts your five buyer questions to the engines, one answer per question per engine, and records whether each answer names you, which pages it cited, and the names the answers gave instead. Then the work, each change approved by you, and a re-measure with the same questions. | A published, versioned rule: the answer's own words must name the site (name, alias or domain in a sentence). A citation label, link or bare URL does not count. Rule v2 since 11 October 2026; every reading carries its version. | Up to six: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity through each provider's API with web search on; Google AI Mode and Google AI Overview through DataForSEO fetching Google's results page (an Overview is counted only where Google showed one). | Homepage scan free. Full AI Visibility Audit USD 49.99, one time per website. Managed program USD 500/month at the founding-customer rate (regular USD 1,200), three-month term, additional sites USD 200/month; the AI answer check is run on request within it, and the USD 49.99 audit does not include it. | A business with one website that wants to know in plain counts whether AI names it for the questions its buyers ask, and wants the work done and the before and after shown. | Named in 0 of 25 answers (14 Oct 2026). Scout technical check 100 (5 Oct 2026); website check 100 (10 Oct 2026). |

What Instly Scout does not do, stated before you ask.
Five questions to five or six engines is 25 to 30 answers, taken on request or monthly, not hundreds of prompts a day. A count of one to three can move by one between two runs on the same day (instlyscout.com: 1 of 19, then 0 of 19, both on 9 October 2026). We compare readings only under the same questions, engines and naming rule.
The four tools above are software you log into daily. Our AI answer check is run by us, on request or within the managed program, and its result is a dated count with the pages cited; the USD 49.99 audit does not include it.
We record, per answer, whether you were named and which pages were cited, and a tally of the names the answers gave. We do not score tone or rank order beyond the average position of the names tallied.
Google has no API for AI Mode or AI Overviews. We fetch them through DataForSEO, for one location (Thailand) and one language (English) per reading, and an Overview is counted only where Google showed one. The four tools above may do the same; their pages do not say how.
ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity are asked through each provider's API with web search on. The consumer apps can answer differently on the same day.
For each answer we store the verdict, the pages cited and an excerpt of at most 240 characters around the naming sentence, so a reader can see the words that decided it. The full answer is not stored.
Instly Scout is built and run from Bangkok by one person, in English. The four tools above list named enterprise customers, security certifications and support teams on their pages; we list our own readings, including this one, where we are named in 0 of 25.

Profound, Otterly AI, Scrunch AI or Peec AI, if
You have a team that will log in, watch many prompts daily and act on visibility, position and sentiment data itself. Otterly AI starts lowest (USD 29 a month for 15 prompts on four engines); Peec AI starts at USD 95 for 50 prompts on three models; Scrunch AI at USD 250 a month billed annually; Profound sells Enterprise plans after a free trial. All four prices as printed on 14 October 2026.
Instly Scout, if
You have one website, you want a plain count of whether AI names you for the five questions your buyers ask, judged by a rule you can read, and you want someone to do the work and show you the dated before and after. Start with the free homepage scan; the AI answer check is run on request.
Method: competitor facts are quoted or closely paraphrased from each company's pricing page on 14 October 2026 (Otterly AI and Peec AI read in a browser, since their pages render prices with scripts); anything a page did not state is marked as such rather than filled in. Our readings are from the AI answer check of 14 October 2026 and the Scout technical check of 5 October 2026, both on the readings page and the league table. Nothing here is an opinion about which tool is better. A vendor that wants a correction can write to [email protected]; we change quotes, never readings. One-to-one pages: vs Profound, vs Otterly AI, vs Scrunch AI, vs Peec AI, vs Semrush.
