Instly Scout vs Cytd
Cytd sells the same promise we do, "We make AI recommend your business", as a USD 299-a-month done-for-you service with a free score. Instly Scout is a two-instrument measure-and-fix service for one website at a time. We compared the two on what each company's own homepage passes, and on how often the four main AI engines named each one when asked which AI visibility tools to use. Neither of us was named. We publish that.
Website check, 13 technical checks, 6 Oct 2026
Cytd's homepage has no H1. Everything else passes. Both sites allow every AI crawler. Measured 6 Oct 2026, a day after the other nineteen.
AI answer check, 20 answers, 29 Sep 2026
Cytd was not among the 13 tools any engine named on 29 Sep 2026. Neither was Instly Scout. Same starting line.
Different products for different buyers.
Taken from each company's own homepage on 6 Oct 2026, quoted rather than paraphrased where it matters.
Cytd
Headline: "We make AI recommend your business". The homepage offers a free "Cytd Score" diagnostic and one plan, USD 299 a month, cancel anytime, 90-day money-back guarantee, "done-for-you visibility work" with "a real team accountable for the score". It lists ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok, says "20,000+ businesses use Cytd to monitor their visibility score", shows Samsung, Taco Bell, Amazon and Facebook as logos, and describes "patent-pending technology". No company name or address appears on the homepage; the footer says "Built by real people in Southern California".
What it is for: a small business that wants a single monthly price and someone else to do the work, and is comfortable with a score it cannot check.
USD 299 a month, cancel anytime, on the homepage.
Instly Scout
Two instruments: a website check of 13 weighted technical checks on the homepage, free and instant, and an AI answer check that asks five of your buyers' questions to ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude and records which brands each answer names, cites and ranks. Then the work: content written and blockers fixed, each change approved by you, re-measured with the same questions, with the dated before and after published.
What it is for: a business with one website that wants to be the answer AI gives, and wants proof it happened.
USD 500 a month, three-month term, built and run by one person in Bangkok.
What each homepage passes and fails.
Scout website check, 6 Oct 2026 (Cytd) and 5 Oct 2026 (Instly Scout), HTTP only, no browser. A warn scores half. Zero-weight findings are listed below the table and do not count.
| Check | Weight | Instly Scout | Cytd |
|---|---|---|---|
| Indexing allowed | 20 | pass | pass |
| JSON-LD schema | 18 | pass | pass |
| llms.txt | 15 | pass | pass |

| Meta title | 10 | pass | pass |
| Meta description | 10 | pass | pass |
| H1 | 8 | pass | fail no H1 on the page |

| Score | 148 pts, scaled to 100 | 100 | 95 |
Zero-weight findings: both homepages named their own brand only in the browser tab, not in the headline or opening text (instlyscout.com fixed this on 5 Oct; left as measured). Cytd: 6 of 44 sitemap pages have no internal link. Every AI crawler we test returned 200 on both sites.
Who the engines named, and what they read.
Five buyer questions about AI visibility tools, asked to ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude on 29 Sep 2026, 04:41 UTC. The full table of all 13 tools named is on the league table.
Cytd
Not named in any of the 20 answers on 29 Sep 2026, and not among the domains the engines read. The free Cytd Score we ran on two of our own sites on 6 Oct gave both exactly 15 out of 100 with the same three recommended actions and all four engines "at risk"; our own 2 Oct answer check had three of those four engines naming one of the sites. Their score is a rubric, not a reading. That is the difference between the two products, and it is the whole of it.
Instly Scout
Passing all 13 technical checks did not get us named once. The engines answered these questions from independent round-ups and from vendors' own comparison pages, and we were in neither on 29 Sep. This page is part of fixing that. Next reading: after 28 Oct 2026, published whichever way it lands.
Pick by what you will do with the data.
Cytd, if
You want one price, no instrument to read, and are happy to take the score on trust. Cytd's funnel is clearer than ours and we say so.
Instly Scout, if
You have one website, you want to know in plain counts whether AI names you for the questions your buyers ask, and you want someone to do the work and show you the dated before and after. Start with the free website check.
Method: website check is Scout's 13-check instrument, run on the homepage over HTTP on 5 and 6 Oct 2026; the per-check record is in the dated benchmark behind this article. Named counts are from Scout's AI answer check of 29 Sep 2026. Product descriptions are quoted from cytd.ai on 6 Oct 2026 and will be out of date when they change theirs. Nothing here is an opinion about which tool is better; it is two readings and who each is built for. Other comparisons: vs Profound, vs Semrush, vs Scrunch AI, vs Peec AI, vs Otterly AI.
